Set up Teampages so you can receive text message alerts!!
One of the great features of the McDowell Hockey Club website on TeamPages is the ability to send out messages to the entire club, a whole team or individual members without fumbling through old emails to get one and do a reply-all.
One feature that may prove very useful as winter creeps in is the ability to send a message that also goes out as a text message.
If you have not done so, please follow the instructions below and set up your account to receive SMS text messages. Your normal text charges apply from your carrier to get the messages.
To set up your account to receive text messages:
1) Log on to your TeamPages account.
2) Go to your “Account Settings” (Link found near the top of the page).
3) In the middle of the "Account Settings" page under “My Notification Settings” you should see a place to enter your mobile #. Enter your mobile # (1 + Area Code + Number) and make sure you click “Save” at the bottom of the "Account Settings" page.
4) You will receive a welcome text message from TEAMPAGES on your mobile device.
5) Follow the instructions in the text message that you received and text “TEAMPAGES" (no quotes) to 82442.
6) Back in the "Account Settings", click on the link "You subscribed to updates from TeamPages", click here to send yourself a message to complete the verification.”
7) SMS messaging should now be active.
